What is the process for reviewing and correcting information?

You may request a copy of the personal information that we have collected. You may also correct any inaccuracies contained in this Personal Information. We do not typically charge for information requests, however, we may charge you a reasonable fee to cover our costs if your information request is particularly complex or excessive. We will require proof of your identity. Users in the EU have a right to the receive following information:

  • the personal information pertaining to you that is being processed;
  • who has access to your personal information; and
  • how your personal information is being used.

In some instances permitted by law, we may refuse to provide you with a copy of the personal information or change the data, but we will give you reasons for our refusal.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we change the policy in a material way a notice will be posted on our website along with the updated privacy policy.

Information Retention

FalconStor will not keep your personal data longer than we need to. How long this is depends on several factors including: why we collected it in the first place; how old it is; whether there is a legal/regulatory reason to keep it; and whether we need it to protect you or us.

If you are an EU user, the personal data we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the EU. It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EU. Such staff maybe engaged in, among other things, the fulfilment of your order, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. We do not control the linked sites and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We suggest that you check the privacy policies of these sites before providing any personal information to them.

All registered and unregistered trademarks, names and logos used on the Site are used with the permission of FalconStor or the relevant third party owners.

Communications/Opt-Out

We may use your personal information to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. If you wish to opt-out of receiving online communications from FalconStor, our partners, or our third-party providers, you can choose the unsubscribe or opt-out link contained in email correspondence we send to you, and you will no longer receive communications.
