Data Reduction
Our patented deduplication technology drives down the amount of data retained on storage systems by an average of 90% — a 10:1 deduplication rate. At present, FalconStor has over 1.5 EB of data under management, which has been reduced from over 15 EB prior to deduplication. This massive reduction in storage correspondingly reduces power, cooling and floor tile space requirements in data centers.
Cloud Adoption
Our technology is routinely used by enterprise customers and managed services providers to harness the cloud for data management, which analysts see as 50 to 90% more efficient than on-premise data centers. Using replication rather than tapes for data protection reduces the physical transport of tape and the resulting emissions as well as reduces the amount of data center space required, since tape drives are significantly larger than our systems.
